△ 5’7” with an average build. He has to watch his weight because he can easily get a little pudgy when he eats too much of one thing.

△ Hazel eyes that always look like they’re staring at something distant.

△ Messy, hazel red hair reaching below the ears. His bangs usually cover his eyes unless he brushes them behind his ear.

△ Pale complexion that neither burns nor tans.

Name: Ashton Ross

Age: 20

Race: Human

Power: Shapeshifter

Strength:

+ Therianthropy, the ability to transform into any animal.

+ He is quick in his movements and has a fast reaction time.

Weakness:

- Every transformation consumes energy from Ashton, thus it takes time for him to stabilize himself in his human form after he shapeshifts.

- Claustrophobic, doesn’t like overly crowded places and being surrounded.

Extra: When Ashton does transform, he doesn’t like being touched, even by children. He favors being small animals over big animals because his fight-or-flight response always triggers him to flee, no matter his size.

✥ 5’11” with a toned body. He doesn’t wear form fitting clothes, so he’s a bit skinnier than one may think.

✥ Bright red eyes with cat-like pupils that tend to always be glaring.

✥ Layered white hair from short in the front to collar length in the back, with black highlights.

✥ Ghostly complexion that will burn when touched by sunlight. His burns leave scars that won’t disappear for a week, but they won’t kill him.

✥ Wears a white scarf over his nose and mouth to hide his fangs, which, unlike most vampires, he can’t retract, and to “hold back” his smell, because he can barely control himself at the scent of blood.

Name: Silas Vasile

Age: 22

Race: Vampire

Abilities:

+ He can heal minor cuts and bruises on his body.

+ Enhanced sense of hearing, smell, and sight (can see in the dark).

+ Superhuman speed and strength.

Weakness:

- Blessed or not, he won’t go near large bodies of water or running water.

- The small of garlic causes his eyes to sting, then tear up. In short, he’s allergic.

- He needs a constant blood source or he’ll fall ill.

Extra: Silas doesn’t suck his food source dry when he feeds; neither does he puncture the same spot twice with his fangs.

Ashton didn't want to be here, but here he was, in the college he hadn’t even applied to. How he ended up here, he really didn’t know. He was still trying to figure that out himself. He had graduated from high school at the age of eighteen, two years ago, and entered straight into college. However, in his second year, he was suddenly sent a letter saying he was accepted to this college, a place he had never heard of. Then, by sheer coincidence, it was on that day that everything started to take a turn for the worse. Now, he was here and had no other college to turn to.

Ashton stood in front of the class, staring at the sea of eyes that looked at him. Had he not been warned beforehand of what to expect, he, surely, would have been frozen with fear. Most of his soon-to-be classmates, unmistakably, had fangs, and that was what made him shift in nervousness. He wasn’t scared, though, not even a little bit. He was nervous of being found out. The administration had promised that nothing would happen to him, but he knew they couldn’t guarantee anything. How could he pass as a human when he had powers beyond that of a normal human? He had to learn self-control, which, under circumstances like these, he was not good at.

He shifted from one foot to the other, obviously uneasy that he was here. He didn’t like being in front of the room either. Simply being stared at made him burn up inside. He felt as though he could pass out at any moment or shrink into a mouseboth of which he couldn’t do. He had to hold himself back. All he could tell himself was that he wasn’t going in this alone. The blonde-haired boy standing next to him was in the same position as he was. He didn’t know what he was capable of, but he knew there was something different about him. They wouldn’t send just anyone to this school, as the headmaster told him.

As the teacher spoke, Ashton impatiently waited. He didn’t listen to what the teacher was saying because he wanted to sit down. He took note of the two available seats, each on a different side of the room. While there was one classroom, the class was split in two. There was clearly a separation of desks, an aisle running down the room. Ashton didn't really know why this was the case, besides to split species, but he didn't have time to dwell on it when he heard his name being called by the teacher, along with the other boy.

“I expect all of you to be respectful to the new students, Mr. Ross and Mr. Ranomo. Do not scare them.”

Silas hadn’t been paying attention to the teacher until the new students appeared. He didn’t even have to be told that they were here to know they were in the building. He could hear them as they were heading down the hall, and, now that they were in the room, he could smell them. They certainly didn’t smell like any vampire he knew or of any werewolf he despised. Their scent was clearly human and that made Silas wonder why they were here.

Two humans were usually accepted into the school at the beginning of the year and continued onto graduation, but, this year, Silas had thought that the school would do without. They were already into the first semester, a little past two weeks, and just now these humans were being introduced into the class. Why couldn’t they have come the first week of school? Whatever the reason, Silas didn’t bother to think more on it. All that mattered was that they were here, definitely because of their grades, and they would stay. This made Silas excited to have them in his class. Things would certainly get more interesting.

The fact that the teacher had to tell the class not to scare the humans made the vampire laugh. If they were to scare the newcomers it would most likely be by accident than on purpose. Sometimes, Silas wondered if the humans that came to this school were warned ahead of time of what species the school housed or if it was a surprise. Silas continued to gaze at the humans in front of him, trying to pick up as much of their scent as he could.

“Mr. Ross and Mr. Ranomo, you may take a seat.” Luckily, for Silas, one of the empty seats was right next to him.

Nathan had been happy when he had gotten into a college program relating to his love of plants. He always found that he was good with plants as a child, never truly understanding why. It was when he could plants bloom at almost unnatural rates did he know that he was different. But what was wrong with him...? He was normal in every way so, why? Nathan tried not to think of it as he continued with his program in college. Nathan got hallway through when he had to leave and go to this strange college.

Upon arriving, Nathan felt out of place as he stood in front of the classroom. This all had to be one elaborate prank right? Some crazy dream? He knew it was no dream but it was hard to think he was in this school with a bunch of vampires and werewolves staring at him. He just had to stay out of all their ways and he should be fine right? Just get through this and you will be just fine..

Nathan noticed the class was split in two between the species, able to easily tell the difference. One side seemed to just say 'werwolf' to him and the other had a sea of people he knew had fangs just beyond the lips. It was more un-nerving to have the teacher tell students not to scare them than anything. Some might be tempted to go out of their way to "mess with the humans". Well..He was here now and not much he could do. He adjusted his shoulder bag and headed toward the available seat in the vampire section. Nathan set his bag underneath him and sat down in the chair.

Bardou was intrigued when he had heard the humans that always came were coming in late this year. It was not the norm to have them come late, it was always at the beginning of the semester. Whatever, not liked he cared what the school did with the humans. More terrified people that he would just avoid and not bother much with anyway..

Bardou rolled his eyes at the fact the teacher felt the need to mention not to scare the humans. Really? They are scared at people dressed in costumes in films, they will scare at anything much less a real 'creature of the night'. The humans already looked terrified out of their minds. It seemed the blonde one took initiative and moved to the free space next to those....vampires. That meant the free set next to him would go to the red headed one.

Ashton hesitated before taking the empty seat in the werewolf section. It's not that he disliked werewolves, or had anything against them, but he would have preferred to sit next to the other human. He would have felt safer that way. However, since he doubted he could convince the teacher to let him push their desks together and separate them from the class, he had to stay in his spot. Ashton shoved his book bag underneath the desk as he slid into his seat, then set out a notebook and pen in preparation to take notes.

"As most of you can tell, your new classmates are humans," the teacher pointed out, knowing that the students could smell the species difference. "Because of this, I have to go over a few rules." None of the rules were new, but, every time he said them, he knew some of the students weren't paying attention. The rules were meant to keep the humans safe. However, the students had a tendency to not listen. "Firstly, you are not to touch the humans." This was the most important rule, although the teacher knew there was a high chance of it being broken. "Secondly, vampires, you are not to use them as a blood bank." The vampires were not to drain the humans of their blood or they would die of blood loss.

"Thirdly, werewolves, you are not to mate with them." The pheromones that the humans gave off trigged such instincts, and the teacher was well aware them. Still, they were no excuse for the werewolves to break the first rule. The only satisfaction that would come out of mating was the fulfillment of lust. There was no other benefit, which meant the werewolves could easily resist their urges, or not so easily hold them back. "Lastly, because the humans will be sharing a dormitory, no one is to enter their room, not even if they are invited to." As always, there would be a hall monitor to make sure there were not intruders sneaking into the room. "Now, with the rules covered, I'd like everyone to introduce themselves. Vampires, you start."

Ashton kept his eyes on the teacher as he listed off the rules. The fact that they needed rules made him worry. It showed how little self-control they had. When the third rule was directed to the section he was sitting in, Ashton glanced over at his neighbor. Would he try to pull a stunt like that? Did he have to worry about anything happening in class? The shapeshifter shook his head of the thought before directing his attention to the vampire about to introduce himself.

Silas hummed when the human sat next to him, clearly delighted in where he sat. When it was time for him to introduce himself, though, the vampire was lost staring at his classmate. The room was silent, but he didn't notice. The human was interesting, both the smell and the sight of him, attractive. The color of his hair matched the color of his eyes, and it was absolutely eye-catching.

"Silas!" The teacher called, impatiently.

No response.

"Silas!" The white-haired male turned his head when he was broken out of his daze. "Introduce yourself."

"Okay," the vampire muttered under his musk, finding it unnecessary to do an introduction. Eventually, the humans would learn his name, whether he told it to them directly or not. "I'm Silas, a vampire, and I hope you enjoy your stay here." Silas greeted the humans as though he expected them to leave soon.

Bardou hated this part, finding it boring as hell that they needed to be told the same things again and again. He liked to think that he had plenty of self control and knew the rules by heart by now. Don't touch, and don't mate...whatever. He noticed that the human seemed to be looking at him when the rule about no mating was mentioned.

There were others far worse than him to worry about...yet...this human seemed to smell different somehow. Humans usually smelled the same but this one...this one had something about him that just seemed...appealing. And the red hair was inviting and-focus...He needed....to focus. Bardou looked back toward the board, waiting for the werewolves turn to introduce themselves.

Nathan heard the vampires were going to introduce themselves first, turning his attention to his white haired neighbor. But it seemed the other had his attention on him already on him. Those eyes...those red eyes that seemed to be staring into his very soul. What...what was he looking at? Why was he not saying a word? The silence made him flush a bit in the embarrassment of it all, happy the teacher was finally able to get his attention. He took a deep breath, calming himself down.

Bardou when called upon was more quick to respond, standing up and pushing the black hair aside. "Bardou, werewolf, good luck in school" He said simply with a small shrug, sitting back down. He never was one for introductions, especially to humans. What does it matter? They can ask for their names if they really wanted them...

Ashton was paying little attention to the vampires in the classroom as they introduced themselves. He was less worried about them because he wasn’t surrounded by them. However, that being said, he wasn’t unaware of the other species. He had to keep a watchful eye on them, for the other human. He had noticed the way one of the vampires stared at the fellow newcomer, and only at him. He looked at him with a catlike curiosity, clearly interested, but unsure of what to do. Ashton didn’t like that one bit. They had to stick together, he and Mr. Ranomo. Although he didn’t know his forename, he was sure they would get along.

He hadn’t had a chance to talk to him beforehand with them having to meet the headmaster and be informed of exactly why they were here. He could have talked to him when they were walking to class together in the hallway, but he was much too nervous to strike up a casual conversation. Ashton had stayed to one side of the hall while his soon-to-be classmate stayed to the other. Now, he was stuck to his seat, separated from his classmate, who was also stuck to his.

As the vampires finished their introductions, and the werewolves began theirs, Ashton turned his body and gaze toward each individual as they spoke. Half of them said only their names, many did short greeting without their names, and a few did both. The werewolf beside him was one of the few who properly, although shortly, introduced himself. “Bardou,” the redhead repeated to himself, “Nice to meet you.” Not wanting to be heard, not even by Bardou, the returned greeting was spoken quietly, with his eyes directed on the surface of the desk.

When Silas ended his welcoming, the vampire returned to admire his person of interest. He didn’t care much about the other section of the classroom, since he already knew their names, so he blatantly ignored them. There was someone much more appealing next to him than those across the room. “How about you do a little introduction yourself?” He cooed to the blonde-haired human, speaking as the werewolves spoke.

“Unless, of course, you are a bit shy.” He teased, hiding a smile under his face mask. “Still, no worries,” Silas whispered, “I’ll make sure your experience here is only pleasurable.” The hidden smile turned into an unnoticeable smirk. The vampire was known for breaking the rules, and now he had a human to break them with. All he had to do was wait. He had to earn his trust, get him alone, and attack. He could already taste the delicious blood in his mouth, and he was sure the other vampires could taste it too. Thus, he would have to make sure no one beat him to the prize.

Nathan listened as all the vampires introduced themselves and he was about to listen to the werewolves introduce themselves next. But he couldn't hear or focus on the introductions as the vampire next to him called Silas started to quietly talk to him. Nathan heard Silas ask if he wanted to introduce himself but it seemed the other wasn't doing it either.

The idea of standing up and introducing himself would make him feel like every eye was on him. Maybe another time but not right now..Nathan thought as the other started to talk again. The greeting, while it sent chills down his spine, made it feel like the other was trying to be friendly. It was probably more the fact the other was a vampire that gave him chills. "Thank you..." he managed to say quietly.

Bardot finished his introduction and sat down, feeling one of the more gentlemanly of the group by giving his name and a pleasantly. The humans were lucky to get that much, it takes a lot to act all nice in front of them like this. That vampire was eyeing that other human like liquid candy and this one smelled really good. Great,,,He hoped they would stay out of his way. Make it easier on them all..

Silas clapped his hands as the human thanked him, interrupting the werewolf who was speaking. “How cute, he talked,” the vampire spoke to his surrounding classmates, all chuckling in response, “Now, you must speak louder. I can’t hear all that well.” He said this matter-of-factly, although it was a very obvious lie. His species had enhanced senses, with hearing, one of the five senses, included. Silas leaned closer to the human, unmoving in his seat.

“I can’t call out your name properly if I don’t know it,” he returned to whispering, “Mr. Ranomo is much too impersonal for me, don’t you think?” It was almost as if Silas was asking for special treatment, for him to only hear his name. His true intentions, though, were well-hidden. While he spoke in a serious manner, it was questionable whether he should be taken seriously or not. The hint of possessiveness he had towards his new classmate, seconds into meeting him, was a childish act. However, he was no child.

Ashton shifted uncomfortably in his seat, pulling away from his neighbor. He planned to move his desk silently, but the legs of the desk made a screeching sound against the floor. Still, he ignored the noise he made, his mind set on moving more than an inch away from his surrounding classmates. Although the more he moved away from one, the closer he ended up next to the other, which made his plan of isolation unsuccessful. He stopped when he was an arm’s length away from Bardou, with his desk nearly lined up against the desk to the right of him, which sat another werewolf.

With the introductions over, the teacher decided to state his own name, which he had forgotten to do before. “Mr. Ross.” He nodded to the humans, not directly stating that he was saying his surname, letting them figure that out for themselves. The students were not the only creatures that inhabited the school. The teachers, too, were vampires and werewolves, but they had more control over their bodies. Mr. Ross was a werewolf, one more tame than his students due to experience.

“Since today is more of a welcoming daylucky for youI’ll need two volunteers to show the humans around. Any offers?” Mr. Ross eyed each section, many students wanting to speak up, but hesitant to do so. He could see them eyeing each other, almost competing to see who would offer first, then the rest would follow suit. “You can choose who you want to follow around,” he spoke to the new students, giving them a little freedom, “Just be careful who you choose.” Besides those words, he made no extra warning.

Nathan felt like he wanted to shrink in on himself when Silas seemed to tease him at talking quietly. He wanted to just hide and talk to the only other human in the room. He needed a friend but he knew he would need to talk to or be friendly enough with people besides him. It seemed a misunderstanding or maybe its just the way vampires talked? Very upfront and coming off harsher than intended?

The vampire named Silas seemed to be trying to make an effort to be friends with him. Well, he seemed nice enough at least. "Nathan...It's Nathan" He said with a small nod and a shy smile. This could work but now that introductions were slowly coming to a close, it felt like all these vampires were looking at him. It felt weird...But it was something he would need to get used to. Especially with all those rules that needed to be laid out...Maybe he needed a vampire friend or a friendly person.

Nathan looked toward his teacher as he introduced himself, wondering how much control was required of a teacher to teach and act so calm. But that was why he taught here, he figured to himself. He then heard that he and the other guy Ross would be given a tour of the school by two of their classmates. He was happy when he got to choose, figuring it would be easier for each of them to choose from their sides of the class, one of each. The only person he was familiar enough with or spoke to was Silas, saying to the teacher "I'll take Silas", pointing to him.

Bardou watched as the human next to him seem to squirm uncomfortably. No matter where that boy went, there was something that simply made him move again. Good luck kid, we are everywhere, from werewolves to mosquitoes like those guys, turning a side eye to the vampires.

What intrigued him was when the teacher was taking volunteers to show the humans around the school. The human on the other end piped up quickly in picking Silas. Kid, you are going to become that guys dessert...He rolled his eyes but figured he would volunteer. What else did he have to do today anyway? "I'll volunteer.." He stuck up a finger in the air, eyeing his fellow werewolves to try and volunteer.

Silas was, again, struck by happiness when he managed to have the human tell him his name, and, above all, be chosen as his volunteer. It must be his lucky day after all, although he wasn’t really sure how lucky the other human felt. Just by looking at him he could tell he wasn’t particularly excited with the volunteer. It was clear he tried to distance himself from his surroundings, but that, obviously, did not work. Well, what did Silas care? He wasn’t the human who the vampire was interested in.

Without having the teacher dismiss them, Silas immediately stood from his seat, reached over to grab his classmate by his wrist, and pulled him out of the classroom into the hall. As soon as he was in the hall, though, he pushed Nathan against the lockers, although lightly, not wanting to actually hurt him. “I’m glad that you picked me,” he spoke, his face inches away from the other, “Now, let me get to know you a bit more.” Silas brushed his nose against his neck, taking in his scent. The closer he was to him, the stronger was his smell. The unique smell made the vampire chuckle. He definitely struck the jackpot. “Should we wait for the others or would you like me to show you around, alone, with just the two of us together?”

Ashton was surprised to hear that the teacher shared the same last name as him, although he knew, for a fact, he had no relation to him. It was a coincidence, but he didn’t have time to dwell on it when he heard he needed to be shown around the school. He could easily do that without help, so why did he need a volunteer? Even though this was a new school and a foreign building, he doubted he could get lost. This was no puzzle. However, despite the werewolves probably thinking the same thing too, one of them was eager to volunteer. A little too eager for him, since was the first, and only one, to take the offer.

Ashton shyly looked around at the other werewolves, and even the vampires, not yet accepting Bardou as his partner. Still, no one moved or made a noise. The vampires were completely disinterested and a few of the werewolves stared at him, almost wanting to be picked even though they kept silent. “I’ll have Bardou,” he eyed his neighboring classmate, “Does the tour start now?” Before the teacher could give him an answer, the other two shot out of the classroom, and Ashton jumped from his seat to follow them, forgetting his tour guide in the process.

Nathan saw the other seemed to be nervous about He partners. He was probably having the same thought as him..Why would they need a tour of the school? It must not be that large, unless the tour is meant as more of a friendly interaction or team building exercise to foster friendship.

There was not much time to react to anything before he was suddenly being pulled by the wrist into the hall. He managed to grab his bag before he was yanked, wondering why the other was so eager. He soon found himself against the locker, the others face only inches from his. Did he plan on giving him a heart attack? That mask was probably hiding a smirk. It sent shivers up his spine that the other seemed to smell him, hoping it was some way of greeting but knew it wasn't. "I'll..Ler's wait for them" He said with a shy laugh, hoping the other human hurried up out of that classroom.

Bardou noticed the other did not seem all too thrilled at having to tour or him being the volunteer. You should be lucky kid, that you aren't a slab of meat to some of these guys. He ended up following the other out of the classroom, seeing that vampire had already gotten close to the other human. "Already found a blood source mosquito?" Bardou rolled his eyes as he looked around the hall. Where to even start...

Silas nodded when Nathan chose to wait. That wouldn’t have been his first choice if he, himself, had been given that option, but he supposed the human would feel more comfortable being with another of his kind. They didn’t even have to wait long, with the human meeting them in the hall seconds later and the werewolf following close behind him. As soon as Bardou was with him, he insulted him, which made the vampire more than angry. “Are your jealous? My human likes me, you know.” He roughly pulled Nathan to his side, wrapping his arm around his waist. “I’m actually being friendly, unlike you.”

Silas had a natural dislike for werewolves, but he particularly didn’t like this one. Bardou was someone he couldn’t push himself to be friends with or even pretend to be nice to, even though he was good at pretending. Seeing that Bardou was no longer paying attention to him, Silas dropped his hand from the waist of the shorter individual and surveyed the area. The school was a literal castle. It had been one long before the institution was established, and there were many rooms that the school did not use. There were three floors, but the lower level floor was rarely used. The floor they were on now, the second, held the classrooms and the upper floor, the third, was reserved for the electives and after school clubs. “Where do you want to start?”

Ashton eyed the vampire without saying a word. If he had the power to shoot lasers from his eyes, the vampire would have been burned through the heart. It was their first day here and he was already on the attack. This was why he wanted to stick to the other newcomer. He didn’t want to be the only human left. The redhead watched the tour guides exchange a few hostile words before they looked for a starting point to begin their tour. He didn’t really understand why they had to look at all. Why not start here?

With their guides turned the other way, Ashton took a step towards his fellow classmate. “Hello,” he greeted the blonde-haired boy for the first time, “How are you faring?” He knew they had only been in school for a few hours, unable to forget that this was their first day, but it was a lot to take in. Plus, while Ashton didn’t like being stuck in a different section, he had to admit that the werewolves were better behaved than the vampires. At least, Bardou hadn't shoved him against a wall or pulled him against his body. “I think we should start here,” Ashton said impatiently, just wanting to get going.

Nathan was happy to see the other come out of the classroom when he did, not wanting to be against the lockers for any longer. It seemed that Bardou and Silas didn't like each other as Bardou seemed to spout an insult at him the moment he saw him. Silas wanted to prove a point or show off, something he didn't understand, because he was pulled close to Silas as he was mentioning he was trying to be friendly. It did seem that Silas was putting an effort while Bardou seemed more aloof. It seemed a lot of the werewolves were quiet or more reserved compared to the vampires, who seemed to laugh and chuckle at him earlier.

"Hello" Nathan said happily in return, taking a step toward the other. "A proper hello, I'm Nathan. I have been doing pretty good so far" He smiled happily at the other, glad that his roommate was so nice. He needed a human friend in a castle full of people not like them. He heard him say they should start there, nodding in agreement. "Yeah, then maybe the club floor? I guess we can end it on our dorm building since we will need to go there anyway" Nathan looked between the werewolf and the vampire and his new friend.

Bardou growled a bit under his breath at what he knew was an underhanded insult. Just breathe....and don't think about him. Sooner the tour is over, the further he can get away from Silas. Maybe it was his aggravation that made Ashton's smell heightened, the full moon wasn't for another day or so at least.

"Well then....These are your basic classrooms and hallways, all labeled and going in order so you know if you are going the wrong way" He pointed in either direction. "I won't even bother with the first floor because it is hardly used...More of a deserted kind of place" Bardou shrugged. "I guess third floor now, stairs are this way" Bardou started to walk towards the stairs.

Silas nodded at the suggested point of where they should start. Of course, their starting point would be where they were standing. He really meant to ask which floor they wanted to tour first, but the question just came out a different way. However, to his fellow tour guide, the first floor wasn’t even worth recognizing. To Silas, though, nothing should be left out, not even the rarely-used lower level. “No, no,” he walked ahead of Bardou, “They should still be shown the first floor, even if there isn’t much to see.” Only walking through the second and third floors would be boring. There had to be something on the first floor that was worth looking at.

“We’ll start down and work out way up,” he stated with determination, “Then, we’ll show you the dining hall and library, which are located in a different building near the dormitory, where we’ll end off.” Silas looked back at the humans to make sure they understood the order of where they were going. Seeing that they understand, the vampire began the tour. “Like the mutt said, this floor has all the classrooms and each classroom is numbered and named. The general classes that are offered here are math, english, history, science, world languages, and electives. The specific classes you take, however, are dependent on your major.” Nearing the end of the hall, Silas turned around to look at his classmates. “Any questions?”

It didn’t matter to Ashton where they went or what order they went in because he was bound to get lost sometime. He had a habit of not looking at signs, even though they were hard to miss. He simply stared at them, then dismissed their words. “I never did properly introduce myself,” the redhead spoke to the blonde, “I’m Ashton.’ He didn’t bother asking for his name in return, expecting him to say it with or without an invitation. It was only polite to do so, although, thinking about it, he never did introduce himself to Bardou. He simply got up and left once he picked him as his volunteer. Well, there was no need to say his name to him now, since he would likely have heard him introduce himself seconds ago. At least he didn’t have to repeat himself.

Initially, it seemed as though Bardou would be leading the tour, but Silas was quick to take over, adding more description than what was said before. Instead of heading straight to the third floor, as was previously planned, they were now being lead downstairs to the first floor, which was said to be hardly used. So, why were they exactly being brought down here? Stopped on the top of the stairs, Ashton shook his head at Silas. “No questions,” he quickly spoke, then glanced at Nathan, wondering if he had any input. There wasn’t much to be seen on this floor and, likewise, nothing much to question, if anything at all. Maybe Nathan found the floor more interesting than him, though.

Bardou was about to be on his way when Silas had interrupted him. It was just like him to interrupt and to make him seem completely disregarding of crucial information to the humans. "Fine...We will start with the first floor.." Bardou said with a small growl, stopping in front of the group as Silas took the lead of the tour from him. Him being called mutt really pissed him off, breathing deeply and digging his nails into his palm. It really hurt but it helped somewhat to not lash out in front of the humans.

"The first floor...is sometimes used by the werewolves" Bardou said with a small shrug once he calmed down. "While it is not used often, if some wolves in particular get...too aggressive...." he stopped for a moment with a deep breath, "some of the rooms downstairs are used for them until the moon is gone....Other uses I am not so sure about..." Bardou said with another small shrug as he waited for any questions the humans might have.

Nathan was trying to remember all the places, hoping it would make it easier to find classes and such later on. He got distracted when the other introduced himself, smiling to the other. 'My name's Nathan" He said with a still happy smile on his face. They would have more time to catch up and talk in the dorms later seeing as they were roommates...and the only humans. It would be nice to talk with another human in a school full of....well, not humans.

"No question from me either" Nathan shook his head when he was asked if he had questions. He was not sure if he ever wanted to be on the first floor with what Bardou had said. It was hardly used like they said so there would be no need to go on that floor anyway. It seemed it was pretty unused...and usually unused meaned not monitored as well. If he went down there, there might not be anyone who could see him there and protect him.

Silas clicked his tongue as Bardou went on talking about the lower floor. Even though he was reluctant to talk about what the floor was exactly used for, the vampire found it necessary for the humans to be told such information. It was expected of the school to contain the werewolves in some manner during the full moon or utter chaos would break loose. Vampires and werewolves, naturally, did not mix well and the full moon only heightened their dislike towards each other. Silas was, especially, grateful that the school ensured the safety of his species during the transformation of the other.

Going downstairs, as expected, there was not much to see. The layout of the floor was noticeably different from the other floors. Instead of classrooms, each room mimicked a prison cell with barred doors. The spacing between each door was also small, indicating that the rooms here were smaller than the average classroom size. While the cells were empty, Silas could tell that they were kept clean. This floor, although not commonly used, had not been completely neglected. “I don’t fancy being down here,” the vampire sighed, as if he hadn’t been the one insistent on coming down, “It’s rather uninteresting.” Of course, he hadn’t expected something grand, having seen this floor several times before, but last time he was passing through it was much more active. Was it only that way during the full moon? “I can’t imagine you being well-behaved for the rest of the year.” Silas muttered under his breath as he walked down the long hall.

Ashton stuck close to Nathan as they descended the stairs to the first floor. He didn’t want to go down, even though their tour guides reassured them that nothing was down there, because that’s what terrified him. He didn’t want to get lost or left behind. Silence was a killer to him. If his imagination was let loose, he could easily scare himself. He didn’t want the talking to stop. “You’re right, there’s not much here,” the human added. The floor was just a bunch of unexciting cells aligned down the hall. Although this wouldn’t be found in a human school, Ashton could understand why it was in this school. The students had to have some protection against each other. Personally, after this tour, the redhead never wanted to return to this place ever again, but, at least, he felt a little more protected.

Bardou looked through the cells silently, knowing this floor all to well. While its primary purpose was to keep his species contained during the full moon..it kept them detained if they ever got too aggressive more so around the humans but also the vampires. He had a lot of issues containing his anger so he found himself here quite often. While he would much rather be free in the woods over this damned cell any day.

He heard Silas comment from under his breath and wanted to claw him right then and there. Show that bastard to not mess with him, he did not care who he was in front of anymore. "Watch your back...You are lucky the humans are around..." He growled, digging his nails into his palm. He growled under his breath as he was trying really hard to keep his anger under control. Bardou knew the full moon was coming up and would rather not be sent down here early. But damn he wanted blood! "Let's continue with the tour now...Before I lose anymore patience..." He said with a deep breath.

"Agreed.." Nathan said in agreement with Ashton, looking around the floor. It seemed so dead now but it was probably more active around the full moon. He should figure out with Ashton when that was so they could avoid werewolves during that time. It seemed the need to contain them only showed how crazed they can be during the moon. "What he said...Let's see the rest of the school and go. I'm sure there is plenty more to see and we should get some rest after a long first day" Nathan smiled nervously, referring to Ashton and himself.

Silas jokingly pouted at the werewolf, wanting to test his limits. He found it funny how much anger Bardou was holding in him since the tour had started. He had seemed so calm before, but, now, he was ready to break, and the vampire wanted to see that. He wanted to push the other to his breaking point just to see him explode. He needed some entertainment and making Bardou lash out would definitely provide him with some. Although it may not be fun for the humans, he was willing to take that risk.

"You humans have no stamina," Silas chucked, slowing his pace to move behind the two boys, "Before you can sleep, you still have to see the third floor, the dining hall, and the library." He let out a chuckle, then an exaggerated sigh. "We can always skip the dining hall and library, though. I guess you don't mind spending less time with me." The vampire glanced over at Bardou, a smirk hidden across his mask, as he casually wrapped an arm around the waist of the other species. "Well, come on then, onto the third floor." Silas spoke excitedly as he slid between Ashton and Nathan to rush up the steps ahead of them, and stopped on the top step of the third floor to greet them when they arrived.

Ashton could tell that Bardou was not pleased with Silas, both his attitude and words were abrupt. His patience was obviously running thin, and Ashton could understand why. The human didn't care whether they argued with each other or not, but he didn't like how they were doing it in his presence. What kind of tour guides were they? They were supposed to be welcoming, but they were the exact opposite. If Ashton had the option of going to this school and was given a tour guide beforehand, the way these two acted certainly would have turned him away.

"Great," Ashton said sarcastically with a roll of his eyes, hearing that they still have three more places to go. It wasn't the tour that was tiring him out, but he was past done with the guides. All he wanted to do was take a nap and be with Nathan, alone. Ashton flinched as Silas attached himself to his side, splitting him and Nathan up. He didn't understand why the vampire was so touchy, but he wasn't fond of it, no matter how innocent they were. "I hope the third floor is as exciting as you're making it to be." Ashton fake smiled as the vampire left him, promptly following the guide up the steps.

"I would love to spend less time with you..." Bardou growled as he gritted his teeth and knew this tour needed to end soon. He needed to destroy something, run, or just do something other than be with that leech called 'Silas'. He was on the verge of breaking and just barely keeping himself contained. Maybe it was Silas and the combination of the full moon coming tomorrow or the day after but Silas was getting to him and he wanted to rip his throat out.

"I am sorry....He knows what makes me angry and seems to want to see me lash out on him" Bardou turned to the humans, trying to speak as calmly as possible and smacking Silas hand away from his waist. "I am trying to keep myself together long enough to finish the tour...You just happened to get me paired with him for a less than ideal tour. We will be finished shortly.." He nodded simply as they started to head toward the library.

Nathan smiled nervously, afraid that the two tour guides will be at each others throats at this rate. He wanted the safety of his guarded dorm and his human roommate sooner than later, where he could be away from all this. And really was a grabby kind of guy as he separated them casually and waited for them at the top of the stairs. Please...let this go over without incident and we make it to our dorms safely..

Silas clicked his tongue and shook his head at what Bardou said. “It doesn’t seem like you have any spirit,” he pretended to sulk, but then let out an exhausted sigh, “Here, on the third floor, is where all the club rooms are.” The vampire turned on his heels and began walking down the hall. Similar to the second floor, each room was labeled with a number on the door and the club that met in that specific room. “Of course, we have sports, but we only compete against each other, not with other schools.” Every sport had two different teams, but they shared the same meeting room. There was a team for vampires and a team for the werewolves, so the species wouldn’t clash within the same team, but clash in competition. Silas, himself, was part of the tennis team.

“If either of you are thinking of joining a sport, you have to choose wisely. Once you pick a side, werewolf or vampire, you’re stuck with that team. There’s no switching or sharing.” He glanced at the humans with a smile behind his mask. “Besides sports,” Silas continued, “We have a variety of other clubs.” Instead of listing the clubs himself, the vampire wanted the humans to explore them on their own. He wanted them to have a little fun, since they were clearly tense in their new surroundings.

Ashton let out a sigh of relief once he was on the third floor. The rooms were empty, since they were touring in the middle of class time, but it was a much better setting compared to the basement. He felt more relaxed, but not relaxed enough to keep his eyes from wandering. Although Silas found it necessary to inform them of how the sports teams competed with each other, the human couldn’t have cared less. Ashton was not the sporty type and he wasn’t someone who pretended to be to impress. He was much more interested in the clubs than the sports, which, unluckily for him, Silas didn’t elaborate on.

As Ashton read the signs, he also slowed his pace to match that of the werewolf. Although it didn’t seem like he was paying much attention to Bardou, he never forgot that he was behind them. Firstly, Silas wouldn’t let him forget, and, secondly, he was his tour guide. Silas may have taken over the tour, with all the information he held and shared, but he had not been the one to volunteer to be his guide. Bardou had raised his hand and Ashton had picked him, albeit reluctantly. Ashton didn’t stick as close to Bardou as he did with Nathan, but he still stayed with him. “Are you in any clubs?” He asked in a whisper. He had no intentions of mocking Bardou like Silas. In fact, he wanted to serve as a distraction to help the werewolf get his mind off of his enemy.

Spirit....I will make sure someone will show a lot of spirit because they will be dead! Bardou was barely clinging to any sort of sanity he could muster as they were now on the third floor. He looked over all the doors as he let Silas talk about sports. If he was going to talk, he could have at least said a few options to at least give them some idea. Sure, leave it up to them to explore but at least give them some clue!

Bardou heard a small whisper asking if he was in any clubs. He looked down and saw it was the human Ashton who addressed him first. Why...was he talking to me like that? He probably saw how tense he was, ready to kill the other....or was very curious about him. "Home Economics...." He said in a quiet whisper as his tenseness ceased to rise even if for a moment. "And I do track.." Bardou added without the other asking him. Huh...He is at least trying to talk...weird. "There are a lot of clubs that I can't list them all...Astronomy, Chemistry, Home Economics and the Botanist Club just to name a few.." He listed off a small selection.

Nathan listened quietly as Silas very briefly talked about clubs and how sports worked in the school. He was not one for sports but maybe he could give one a shot? Tennis seemed the less...strenuous and deadly option out of the sports they probably had in this school. Picking a club would be hard if there were a lot of choices to choose from. His eyes glances over all the doors, trying to see what his options were.

"Are you in a club...?" Nathan asked Silas, trying to be nice and a bit more social than he was a moment ago. He saw a club involving plants and knew he would love that one! Maybe if he saw others he liked, he could join those too! There was plenty to pick from, Nathan thought to himself as he wondered how he would be navigating back to his dorm if the clubs ran late. Hopefully he would be in a club with Ashton so he wouldn't feel out of place.

Ashton couldn’t help but to smile when the werewolf whispered back to him. It was as if they were having a secret conversation when they were only talking about clubs. Hearing that Bardou was in Home Economics, though, shocked him a little. He couldn’t image the taller individual doing something like that. He had pictured him as someone who was either involved in a lot of sports or none at all. However, no matter what he thought, he wasn’t against Bardou being in any clubs. It only made him more interested in joining a few himself. From the ones that the other listed, there were several that caught his attention.

“They all sound interesting,” Ashton spoke, thoughtfully, “I’m not sure which one I want to join.” During his first year here, Ashton didn’t want to overwhelm himself with a lot of after school activities. He would, at least, join one club, but he wasn’t going to join any more than three, and even three was a bit much for him. While the human liked his free time, he also liked being active. He always had to be doing something or he would get distracted easily.

On the other hand, Ashton was hesitant about joining a club. He was new here and he was human. Although clubs were a way of making acquaintances, he could already predict that some of his classmates would try to get too friendly with him. He didn’t want to be in any position which he would later regret. “What do you think I should join?” Right now, getting advice from Bardou was his best option.

Silas nodded his answer to Nathan. “I’m captain of the tennis team.” The vampire played tennis as a hobby and as a competitive sport. Besides that one sport, though, he wasn’t in anything else. None of the other sports or clubs had caught his attention. However, he was still willingly to join some others, now that Nathan was here. He couldn’t have him be alone and vulnerable, especially with all the competition around.

“What clubs interest you?” Silas casually asked. Even though there were a lot of clubs, not all of them were popular. It took five members to come up with an idea and, with approval from the headmaster, their idea could officially become a club. There were several ongoing clubs Silas knew of that others thought were inactive. Such clubs were not listed on the third floor because their signs had been removed. Even if their signs had still been up, he didn’t think they were important enough to mention, if he had mentioned any at all.

When they reached the end of the hall, Silas let out an exhausted sigh, as though he had something to be exhausted about. He had done most of the talking, but it was normal for him to talk a lot. He always had something to say, whether his comments were wanted or not. “Now, back to the second floor to leave and I’ll show you the library. It’s near the dorms.” Silas had wanted to show them the dining hall, located in another building, but, knowing that the humans wanted to rest, he decided to cut that part of the tour out. Plus, he didn’t want to hold Bardou captive any longer. He was simply getting tired of seeing him, even though, before, he had fun teasing him.

Bardou saw the other seemed to be surprised at his answer, figuring the human would think the very idea of a werewolf cooking and doing those kinds of activities would be out of place. In a humans point of view, it was probably very strange. But he did not seem to say anything about it beyond looking initially shocked. He was not sure why he cared about what the other thought but was happier that the other did not delve into it further.

The human seemed overwhelmed by the amount of club choices, considering all of his options and his uncertainty. He was only introduced into this world and had a wide variety of choices to choose from, even if some were not as popular as others. There must be many thoughts going through the humans head but he was no mind reader. The other would speak up eventually about the club he was interested in.

Bardou was surprised when the human asked him what he thought he should join. He was not quite expecting that and was not able to quickly formulate a response. "I.." He started to say as he scanned all the clubs for something the human might be interested in. He knew nothing about this kid and he was supposed to recommend a club to him? "Home Economics seems the most...human. And I suppose you will need cooking skills in case you cannot leave your dorm to cook or eat.' Bardou casually shrugged before continuing on in a whisper. "There is also clubs about species themselves, you as a human will probably want to learn about the people surrounding you.." Bardou figured the human would want to join this club above all else.

"Tennis seemed like a less..deadly and strenuous sport" Nathan said with a shy sort of smile. Maybe some sports might be good for him to get some exercise and keep himself active. Most other sports may not be up his alley so tennis cannot be all that bad...right? "And I would want to find a club involving animals...or a club involving plants somehow. I am really good with plant life as silly as that sounds" Nathan laughed quietly in embarrassment. "Probably isn't one, or if there is one it is probably inactive. But I will join one as close to that as possible, even if its a gardening club" He said as he could not scan half the signs on this floor.

"A library?" Nathan said in a moment of happiness as he loved books and just loved libraries in general. He coughed in embarrassment as he realized he may have sounded a little bit too excited. "Sorry, I like books.." He said as he looked down at his feet. Nathan looked back toward Ashton and Bardou, who seemed deep in a whispered conversation between themselves. What were they talking about? Either way, he could not wait to be out of this tense atmosphere of his tour guides.

All of the clubs sounded “human” to Ashton, but he knew there weren’t any human members in them. Still, Home Economics sounded like a decent club to join. Plus, Bardou would be with him, which meant he could, at least, be protected by him in that club. Then again, there was also the possibility that the werewolf would completely ignore him. Right now, he was his tour guide, not his bodyguard, and Ashton didn’t want the werewolf to think that he needed his protection, although he wanted it. That would be a sign of weaknesses and he didn’t want to show how weak he really was.

“I’m not that good at cooking,” Ashton quietly admitted. He didn’t like cooking or doing anything that required a lot of patience and time. He was fast-moving and always wanted things to get done quickly, which was why he could never cook or bake. Every time he tried or whenever someone tried to teach him, he would always get distracted and then the food would burn. He didn’t want to burn down the dorms or the school, but that was why Home Economics was a club, right? To teach him how to not burn down buildings. “I’ll consider joining,” he gave a small smile, then thought of another club he could join. Once he joined a club, he liked to dedicate himself to it. He didn’t want to drop out and have to find a new club in the middle of the year.

“I think I’ll see if I could join a club with Nathan.” He would rather be in a club with someone he knew than be by himself. If he was in Home Economics with Bardou and in a club with Nathan, he wouldn’t have to worry about not knowing anyone around him. He had already started out in a setting where he knew absolutely no one and he didn’t want that to be repeated. “Hey, Nathan,” he sped up his pace, “Want to join a club together? I don’t mind which one it is, since I don’t have any specific club I want to be in, so you can pick and I’ll just join with you.”

Silas stared at Nathan as he incessantly talked about his interests. “We have a Botanist club,” he mentioned, not wanting the human to think that he couldn’t do something he loved. “The school has a garden, too, between the dorm and the library.” As he said this, Silas headed downstairs to the second floor and retraced their steps back to their starting point at the classroom. Classes were still going on, but they had spent the entire period giving the tour. Plus, since the teacher had told them to give the tour, they weren’t expected to return to class. However, Silas wanted to tell the teacher where they were going and, more importantly, he wanted his classmates to know not to interfere with his tour, if it was still going on, when classes were over.

“We’re leaving!’ Silas exclaimed as he briefly poked his head into the classroom before grabbing Nathan by his wrist, once again, not being at all gentle, and rushing down the hall and out the doors, clearly trying to lose Bardou and Ashton in the process. Maybe, finally, he would have some alone time with the other. Sure, he had promised to show both humans the library and dorms, but Bardou was also capable of doing such with his own person.

“See that dome-shaped building,” he pointed to it with his finger, “And that long, rectangular building next to it?” He pointed his finger to the next building. “The dome is the library and the rectangle is the dormitory. As you can see, the garden is between them.” Silas continued to pull Nathan along towards the library, except, instead of holding his wrist, he positioned the boy beside him and guided him with an arm around his waist. This time, though, he didn’t do it out of anger. He held him possessively and his eyes kept darting around, as if looking for any sign of competition, or any sign of the others.
