He has a thin, lean build, with long arms and legs that make him appear taller than he actually is. His small, rather lithe figure makes him fast and agile, but he lacks strength; he tends to seem fragile and delicate. His skin is extremely pale, almost paper-white, and his eyes are an intense icy-blue color that shine brightly in the light but glow dark-blue in the darkness. His hair is as white as his skin, maybe even more so, and is long and straight, the tips reaching his tailbone; he normally keeps his hair tied in a single braid or high-ponytail that he drapes over his shoulder. His bangs fall to just above his eyes. He has pointed ears and canine teeth. He dresses in white pants tucked into furry white boots, a white long-sleeved shirt, a white belt, and a white cloak with a cowl-like hood, held together by a silver clasp by the neck. Whenever he initiates his abilities, there are subtle appearance changes; his pupils become white, and a small, light-blue crescent moon appears in the middle of his forehead, very faint but still noticeable. Personality: Yin is a very quiet and soft-spoken person, his voice almost always a whisper, never rising above normal tones. His is extremely shy around strangers, especially humans, but finds them fascinating and wishes very deeply to become friends with one. He has a gentle nature and finds comfort in helping others. He is passive and hates fighting, only using his abilities to defend, never attack. He is very curious, unfamiliar with the human world, though he would love to learn more about it. However, whenever he sees a human he hides, too nervous to approach them. Unfortunately, his passiveness leads to him being pushed around a lot by other elves, and he has never been accepted in his community due to his differences. History: Yin was born on December 21st in Germany, where the first elves came from. He has two older brothers and a younger sister. He lived with his mother, father, and siblings for many years, and he was not outcast until after his coming-of-age ceremony, when he failed the test and it was realized that his soul was pure. Since then he was disowned by his family and sent to live far away from any other elves—which was not too much of a problem because elves are generally solitary creatures—and has spent most of his life alone. Light-elves attempted to recruit him various times, but he has always turned them down, staying loyal to his kind despite the mistreatment and preferring the silence that comes with being alone. Other: Yin is technically a “dark-elf”, the opposite of “light-elves”, but unlike most dark-elves he is not evil. His season is winter, his symbol is the moon, and his element is darkness, but his soul is not impure; it is actually quite pure, which is very rare for a dark-elf, making him an asset to the light-elves and, though an outcast among the dark-elves, still valuable to them. His abilities include [creating snow and ice], [bending water], [becoming a shadow], [shadow-travel], [harnessing energy from the moon], and [speaking to animals]. He lives wherever the season is winter, taking residence in forests and leaving when the snow melts and summer comes. He is never in the same place for too long, so meeting him is a chance experience and usually only happens once. His ‘job’ is watching over the plants and animals as they go into hibernation, also helping lost travelers or pets whenever they are in trouble, such as freezing or starving in the cold.
