Plot:

Though most things in this world seem ordinary, normal, and a little bit boring, there are things just beyond our reach that are amazing, unique, and breath-taking. Beyond the horizon, past the veil, along the rift. Things that our imaginations couldn't comprehend, but are still there, waiting to be discovered, waiting to be found. A world of magic, of mystery, of danger and adventure, of life. And of love.

High school can get to be so hectic, especially for those in their third or fourth year. As well as for those who are just now transferring to a new school. Some find themselves wishing for a little adventure, others find themselves hoping for love. And even more just wish to find somewhere they belong. All these can find that, if they look beyond the ordinary, and enter the extraordinary.

Be it taking on the ways of magic, or already being one of magic but just finding out what they are, these teens will soon find themselves plunged into a plot of the unknown, caught up with forces beyond that of earth. Demons, angels, withes and wizards, vampires and werewolves, fairies and pixies, the list goes on and on. Will they make it? Will they find how to handle themselves? Or will the mere awe of it all leave them standing breathless, not able to do a single thing?

Yang, and his twin sister Yin, stare up at the brick building that would now be their school for the rest of the year. They glance at each other, and nod, before making their way up the steps of the front of the school, that led to a set of large doors. Class was already in session, as they made their way to the office, picking up schedules, and then heading to their classes. Many of the students got up out of their seats to look at the two new comers as they walked down the hall. They had head some pair of twins were coming to their school, and wondered what they looked like, but when they saw the two, they wondered how in the world these people could be twins.

Because indeed, Yin and Yang looked nothing alike. Yin was fair skinned, with long black hair and silvery eyes, she was small and skinny, but had a nice frame. She reminded one of a delicate flower, too easily bent over even in the gentlest of breezes. Yang on the other hand, was tanned, with shagg, and slightly long silvery white hair, and black eyes. He was tall, and thin but muscular, and something about him reminded people of the sun, bright and warm, someone that could make the darkest days bright.

Yin walks close to her brother, scared of the new surroundings, and slightly worried about how she would handle herself, as their first class were in different rooms. They first go to Yin's class, Yin hesitating at first, and glances at her brother. With an encouraging smile and a nod, she takes a deep breath, and goes inside, waving at her brother and disappears behind the door. Yang smiles, and then continues on his way.

In a class room on the second floor, the teacher was announcing that a new student was arriving any minute now. As if on cue, a knock comes at the door, and Yang walks in. "Ah, here is the new student! Would you please introduce yourself?" The teacher says. "Sure." Yang walks in front of the room, and smiles. "Hey all, I'm Yang. It's nice to meet you." The teacher smiles, and then points him to his seat, which was near the back and next to the windows.

He sits down, and glances around the class, his eyes resting upon a smaller guy, who, in his opinion, looked more like a junior high student than a high school student. Yang grins, and then looks around some more, wondering what these people were like. Whispers could be heard, and many of the girls were glancing at him, and giggling. He was pretty handsome, and his style of clothing was definitely cool. He wore a black and white graphic shirt, with sleeves that reached his elbows, light greyish blue jeans, skater shoes, and a chain-link necklace around his neck.

Alecxander sat in the front seat of the class next to the only open window in the class. He was taken notes while looking out of the window as the teacher spoke. A knock at the door made him pushes his grey-blue eyes towards the door, and a new student walked in. "Hey all, I'm Yang. It's nice to meet you." the young man said in front of the class. The teacher pointed Yang to his seat, which was at the end of Alecxanders row.

Alec's Familiar lay underneath his chair in his small of forms. That of a timber wolf pup, his icey blue eyes following Yang as he was told to sit at the end of there row. Alec simply called him Soul, and soul was almost Alecxander's copy - the only thing telling them apart at a glance were there eyes; that is if soul was in his human form. Souls an icey blue and Alec's an grey blue.

Alec him self had Brown short hair, which was somewhat spiky. His eyes a greyish blue color and his skin was that of a normal American, slightly tan but still fare. He was wearing a union-form colored in black, yellow and red, his tied a bit loose. His blazer was black, his under shirt was yellow, and his tie was red and yellow. He ware black dress pants that looked modified. A black watch rest on his left wrist and his favorite pencil rest in his right hand.

Soul went about following the new student, hiding behind Alec's backpack that rested on the floor, as he looked at yang

Karou looked up at the school with a nervous look. He took a deep breath and entered the building. He got his schedule and then headed to his class. He knocked and then stepped in shyly. The teacher smiled at him and he smiled timidly back. "Ah! It looks like our other new student has arrived! Please introduce yourself."

Karou tried not to look terrified at that as he faced the sea of faces staring back at him. Karou gripped the hem of his shirt, gulping. "H-Hi. My n-name is Karou T-Thiago." He stuttered out as his cheek lit up in a blush, wanting nothing than to sink into the ground. He then hurried to the only open seat which was at the back of the class, the small boy almost tripping in his haste. He slid into the seat, sinking down from embarrassment.

Damon pulled his hood further over his dark eyes, covering them completely. He leaned his chair back until it rested against the back wall of the classroom, his long legs balancing the chair so that it wouldn't fall. He watched in silence as the new students were introduced in the classroom, taking in their appearances before turning his head to look back out the window. His fine delicate features were hidden by his bulky clothes, strands his silky black hair escaping out from underneath the hood. He wasn't interested in the new students, that just meant that there were more people who look at him in confusion, his delicacy belying the strength of his body... he certainly wasn't a girl.

Inky black hair, dark doe-like eyes, a ruby-red lips offset by pale skin. A finely chiseled nose and delicate cheekbones... he'd been subjected to unmerciful teasing in his younger years... until he grew taller, but even then his face was beautiful rather than handsome; so he'd taken to wearing shapeless clothes that hid his face and his figure, preferring the anonymity of androgyny.

He sneezed, the hood falling from his head as he lifted a hand to rub his nose. He slowly pulled the hood back up and over his face, hoping that the slow movements wouldn't draw attention to himself... there was fur in the air...

After glancing around a little while, Yang's eyes shift to the other new person who had arrived, and was now sitting in the seat right next to him. The person said his name was Karou Thiago, and he seemed kind of shy. Yang's black eyes now gazed at this boy from the corner of his eyes, a slight smile upon his lips. There was something...different about this one, he could tell. There were several here that Yang could sense something different about, like the guy sitting in the front of his row, a pair of eyes staring at him from just beneath his seat. The person who kept their form hidden by baggy clothing. Yes, this room was definitely not just a room filled with ordinary people. And Yang liked it that way.

He opens the text book for that particular class, and stares at the contents. It looked so boring, but he had to endure it...for now anyways. He looks out the window, wondering how his sister Yin was faring in her new class. She was a shy one, and didn't get by very well without having Yang by her side. But the stupid school system just HAD to put them in separate classes now didn't it? He sighs, before looking at the eyes that were still staring straight at him. Smiling softly, he winks at the glowing eyes, before glancing around the class room once more.

Soul grinned as Yang winked at him. His little ears twitching as he heard another student walk into the room. He moved again underneath Alec and watched as the new study walked on egg shells to get into the class room. His name was Karou Thiago, so he introduced him self as. Soul flicked his tail; he was going to enjoy this year. He turned his attention towards Alecxander who was still taking notes and watching out the window.

Alecxander noticing Souls stair reached him left hand down to pet the creature; moving his glance to the newest student whom seem to stubble about as he made his way to the back of the room. Alec smiled, just what they needed more people in the class room; people didn't bother him, nor did he care for most of them. He had a pack view on things; but was to nice for people to really tell.

Ripping off a piece of paper he wrote a small note and handing it to Soul. " Deliver this to Damon please" Alec spoke under him breath so that only Soul could hear him, and just as quickly soul crawled across the room and made his way to Damon, climbing up his legs and resting in his lap Soul dropped the note and rested his little body on Damon's lap.

the note read:

" Ready for the new year?

New people, I wonder what they

will be like?"

-Alec

Alec and Damon had been friends for a few years, after Alecxnader walked in of Damon fighting off a group of other students. It took both Alecxander and Soul to pull Damon off of the other kids. Since then, they are almost always seen lingering together.

Karou sensed eyes on him and he glanced over, seeing a guy looking at him out of the corner of his eye. The boy blushed slightly and faced forward, wondering if there was something on his face. He discretely reached a hand up to touch his forehead, wondering if there was paint from when he had been painting yesterday. It didn't feel like there was and his hand dropped back down to his desk.

He pulled a notebook out of his bag and began taking notes, eyes flicking from the writing on the board to his notebook then repeating the cycle.

Damon started at the unexpected against his legs. Looking down he saw that Soul was scrambling up into his lap with a note. Damon took the note with long delicate-looking fingers and read it:

"Ready for the new year? New people, I wonder what they will be like?"

He absent-mindedly stroked the pup in his lap as he contemplated the note. There was no reason why this year wasn't going to be like any other year. He'd casually observed as they entered, and to be honest he didn't think much of them, the first one was too flashy; too bright, annoying he whispered under his breath. The other... might as well not even be there at all for all presence they had. He sneezed again. Cat fur He rubbed his nose. He tore off his own scrap of paper and penned a reply:

"Ready as I can be. Annoying. Boring. Can't wait to get outside.

He folded the note, giving Soul a scratch behind the ears before giving it to the pup to take back to his Master. He and Alecxander made a rather unlikely pair; they'd been together ever since the two of them intervened on a fight he was having. He'd been getting picked on, yet again, but unlike when he was younger, he'd actually had the upper hand in this fight, until he'd been stopped by the pair, but since then, the fights had stopped, whether from a newfound respect that despite his appearance he could hold his own, or the fact that he was now friends with Alecxander and Soul.

He pulled his hood down further over his face. He couldn't wait for the class to end so that he could go outside. Unlike the others, his familiar couldn't be "small" - even in his small form he had to be outside. His fingers twitched slightly, he hated being apart from them for any length of time, but it was necessary at the school, there was simply no room in the class for a winged horse.

Through silent observation, Yang watches as a small puppy of some kind quietly moves along the floor, and up into a student's lap. The corner of his lips twitches, and a few moments later the pup returns to where it had been when Yang had first sat down in his desk. 'For a regular, public high school...there sure is a lot of weird stuff around here. I thought animals weren't allowed...Oh well. Maybe I should bring Shiro with me the next time, that should cause some commotion for sure.' He thinks to himself, grinning at the thought of what would happen if he brought Shiro, his pure white lizard to school. It was more than a lizard though, it had magic, and was part dragon, though it kept it's wings hidden most of the time.

Class seemed to move by slowly, like molasses, and soon Yang was bored. He sighs, and, with his hand under his desk, he twitches his fingers slightly, so that small flickers, tendrils and shocks of white electricity flick between his fingers, crackling quietly. However, when one of the girls in the class turn around, he curls his fingers, and the electricity disappears with a quiet 'pop', and he stares out the window. He didn't want anyone to know what he could do...not yet anyways...

Alec felt a burn on his leg as Soul returned with a reply from Damon.

"Ready as I can be. Annoying. Boring. Can't wait to get outside." the note read, Alec simply nodded at it in agreement. The first few days of school were always the worst, nothing to do but listen to the rules and what the students should do. As He looked out of the window he seen Damon familiar waiting for him to return. The two seemed really close, just as Alec and soul were.

As the class went on and the time slowly ticked by the bell finally rang and everyone seemed to jump out of there seats. Gathering in there small groups and heading to lunch or there next class depending on how there day was planed out. Alec waited until most of the class was gone before he stood and headed over towards Damon, Soul now hiding in his backpack.

"Damon would you like to go for lunch?" He asked now standing next to his desk and looking into his hood. Damon's looks always throw Alec off a shorts, because Damon looked more a girl then he really did a boy but Alec never asked nor stumbled on the matter. It didnt really matter to him, Damon seemed well enough the way he was. Waiting on Damon's answer Alec took the time to look at the new student finally. Yang seemed the cool type, social maybe and proud of him self while Karou seemed shy and timid.

He was sure they were not the only new people in the school, but the school was normal with a hidden secret it always seemed.

The ringing of the bell somewhat startled Karou, who jumped. He blushed slightly then gathered his stuff quickly. He looked down at his schedule and saw that his next class was Math. Great, he was horrible at Math. He sighed slightly and stood, making his way to the door. He stumbled over a book halfway there but managed to regain his balance before he fell flat onto his face.

His cheeks darkened further in a blush and he hurried from the room, having almost embarrassed himself enough for one day. He looked at what room his classroom was in and started off down the hallway. It became apparent after a few minutes of wandering aimlessly that he had no clue where to go. He groaned softly to himself, not really surprised since he could get lost in a paper-bag. Why did his sense of direction have to be so horrible?!

Damon gave out a sigh of relief as the bell sounded, unfolding his long slender body from his seat. Even his height didn't dissuade people from their opinions regarding his gender. He pushed his hood back from his face, running a hand through his long hair, "Lunch? I thought that we'd eat outside on the oval, that way Peggy can come too" he said with a smile; long lashes fluttering against delicate cheekbones. He sneezed again, and groaned slightly, "Someone has a cat... it's making my nose itch..." he said, irritated.

Damon's eyes followed to where Alec was looking. "Ah, the new students... that one there, will be trouble" he said softly, he hadn't missed the electrical display under the desk, and whilst great pains were taken to ensure the school was seen as ordinary, often than not, it wasn't. "I had to put Peggy in the stables this year, he at least can hide his wings and look like an ordinary horse this time round" he gave a small smile, "Do you remember when the only thing he could do to stay hidden was look like a plush toy? That wasn't particularly helpful for my image..." even Damons voice was soft, a little high to be a boys, but a little low to be a girls. He picked his bag up off the floor and slung it over his shoulder, "What are you having for lunch today?"

"Finally!!!!" Yang says in a loud voice, jumping from his seat, with a huge grin on his face. "Damn that class was getting boring!" He then blinks, realizing that he was yelling, and several girls were giggling at his enthusiasm of class being out. He flushes, and grabs the bag that he had placed on the floor, and slings it over his shoulder, grinning slightly and rubbing the back of his neck. He laughs, sounding slightly embarrassed, and then makes his way towards the door, and glancing at the two who were talking about where they would eat lunch. They then go on to talk about how some horse had to stay hidden as a stuffed toy...yep. These guys were different.

Pulling out his schedule, and a copy of his sister's, he sighs. Once again they were separated, Yin was in math at the moment, and Yang had lunch. He stuffs the papers back in his pocket, and then leaves the classroom, heading out the door and to a area that was set in a oval, where people could eat lunch and mingle. Sitting down on a bench, that was a little bit hidden, Yang once again flicks his hand, though instead of lightning crackling and lacing his fingers, it was fire, little tiny flames flickering at the tips of his fingers and all around his hand. He moves his fingers a little, so that the fire began to move, and after a moment, a tiny fiery bird shape was sitting in the palm of his hand.

Meanwhile, in the hallway, Yin could see that someone looked a little lost. She smiles, and walks over to him, tapping him gently on the shoulder. When she had his attention, she gives him a gentle smile, tilting her head slightly, so that the bangs that were covering her forehead slide to the side, revealing a silver crescent moon upon her forehead. "You look like you could use some help." She says softly. Holding out a slim hand, she introduces herself. "I'm Yin, twin sister to Yang. Have you met him? He's really nice...and a bit better than I, in my opinion." She sighs, and then smiles. "Oh well. What class are you looking for?"

"I was kind of hoping to eat with you today, I didnt have time to make anything but i got some sweets we can share" Alecxander said as he watched the two new students leave the classroom. Soul poked out of Alec's backpack a smelled the air. " Its the little boy that just stumbled out of here who smells like cats Damon " Soul spoke from the backpack poking his little nose out.

Alec turned his attention to Damon and gave him a smile. " what did you bring for lunch?"

Karou flinched slightly when a voice suddenly spoke up from next to him, his eyes jerking up to meet the girl's. He watched as she introduced herself as Yin and stuck her hand out. Karou hesitantly reached out his own small hand, taking hers and shaking slightly before releasing and dropping his hand back down by his side.

He gave a shy smile, nodding slightly. "Y-Yes, he's in my class. Umm..I-I'm Karou, it's nice to meet you. And I w-was trying to find my math class but I got lost and now don't have a clue where to go." He said softly, cheeks darkening in a blush.

Damon giggled, the sound girlish and high, "You're lucky I brought extras then, I had a feeling that I needed to..." he didn't have flashy magical powers like those around him, but his ability was precognition, as weak as it were. He couldn't tell the future exactly, but he occasionally got the feeling that he needed to do something, or take a particular action... like making extra lunch because Alec hadn't brought his own. "I brought beef... and omelette... and rice..." he tapped his chin thoughtfully, "I even brought extra milk" He reached over and gave Soul a rub behind his ears, "Let's go outside first and see Peggy," he grinned happily, "and I'll get her to take us to the roof to eat our lunch... how does that sound?"

Yang sighs, clasping his hand around the fire bird that was in his hand, the flames going out instantly. "This sucks..." Yang mutters, staring up at the sky, which was a light blue and dotted with fluffy white clouds. "Yep, it definitely sucks..." He stands up from where he had been sitting, and stretches his arms over his head. Closing his eyes, he takes a deep breath, a calm look forming on his face, and a small smile tugging at the corner of his lips. "Time to fly.." He murmurs, his arms reaching outward, and a light forming from his body. Feathers began to form upon his skin, fiery red and orange and yellow feathers, and, with a flash of light, a phoenix like bird was hovering where he had been standing. "Yes! Haha!" He laughs, and with one powerful surge of his wings, he skyrocketed, twirling in a circle as he rose higher and higher, before halting his ascent by stretching out his wings. Flying had to be the best sensation in the world!! He does a few loops, and barrel-rolls, before just lazily floating along, his wings crackling gently as the fire on the feathers was tugged at by the wind.

Yin smiles as Karou told her his name. "Alright Karou. So, you're looking for the math class? I'm in the same one I think." She reaches down to take the piece of paper from Karou, then looks at her own. "Yes, it is...Come on, it's this way." She smiles again, and gently takes Karou's wrist, guiding him along the hallways, and eventually reaching the classroom. Checking the paper just to make sure, she nods. "Yep, this is it!" She lets go of his wrist, and then opens the door, waiting for Karou before following him into the room.

Alec smiled with delight as Damon named off lunch. " YES!! and you brought some of my favorite food ~ " Alec was really hungry and was thankful that his friend know when he was going to mess up and forget something like lunch. " That sounds like a great idea Damon" Alec went on.

Soul wagged his tail, he had not seen peggy in a while and he loved to fly with her.
