About:

Arius is a genetic replica of the first omega that lived 20 years ago. A researcher was madly in love with that omega and was heartbroken when he died so he spent years researching for a way to bring his lover back. He kept that person’s DNA and managed to impregnate some poor woman with and engineered seed. When Arius was born he adopted him and paid the woman a hefty sum of money to keep quiet about the whole thing.

His initial name was the same at that omega, he was called Elijah by the researcher but he has very vague memories of that period. He was raised with love and his health was closely monitored by his “father” but he could tell even as a child that the love wasn’t directed at him. Even though he was treated well he could feel the emptiness, like something was missing.

When he was about 4 years old an assassin broke into the lab to kill the crazy researcher and destroy all of his research. The man was pretty famous for his unorthodox ways and cruelty. Gaining so much hate and animosity from others resulted in his demise. For some reason though the assassin couldn’t bring himself to kill Elijah, he was just this lost small kid with innocent eyes. Nothing about the kid seemed to be off or dangerous. Plus he just wouldn’t let go of the man, asking him to not leave him alone. The assassin felt some sort of pity for the kid and in memory of the kid he himself has lost he actually took the kid with him.

Gary was the name of the assassin that became his new father figure. The man named the boy Arius and taught him how to survive in this merciless world. Arius learnt self defence from an early age, Gary taught him various martial arts that will favor his small body. Later on the boy didn’t grow too tall or muscular so the same rules applied, he had to outsmart his opponent and be quick on his feet.

When he manifested as an omega it took everyone by surprise, including Gary that had no idea. Fortunately for him, Gary was a beta so he managed to control himself around the boy and get him to a hospital. There they explained everything to him and how he had to deal with his gender issues. Arius wasn’t very happy at the news as it made him feel even weaker than he already was. Not having a monstrous body like Gary was a thing but actually being an omega was quite devastating. 

Gary was also very confused and concerned about the boy, he couldn’t really stand the idea of someone actually taking advantage of him. He bought him the best suppressants on the market even though they were very expensive, killing people paid well after all. Arius ended up feeling even more indebted to Gary and he hated that. The boy tried to figure a way to repay the man. After some debates he asked for a job, he claimed that he wanted to work with Gary. The man never intended for him to follow this path so he opposed to the idea.

Arius kept training himself and even added weapons into the equations. He did his own research as well, trying to find out how he could deal with bigger and stronger opponents. Gary actually helped him because he wanted the boy to be safe in any circumstances especially after finding out that he was an omega.

Gary didn’t wish for the kid to go on the same lonely and bloody road as him but Arius kept insisting on the matter and he could feel his desire and also his darkness. The boy wasn’t as innocent as he looked, deep down he had his own demons to deal with and his own cravings. They ended up compromising on the matter, he will let Arius become an assassin when he turns 18. If he was an adult and he still wanted to become an assassin he won’t oppose anymore and he would help him.

When the time came Arius still wished to become an assassin. Gary couldn’t stop the stubborn kid anyway so he just taught him all the tricks in the book. Even though the younger male wasn’t physically that fit he was a quick learner and he never hesitated to use some dirty tricks. It was just like he was made for the job. 

Today, Arius is no longer a kid, he’s 25 years old and one of the most deadliest assassins in existence, known as the Black Dahlia. He gets a lot of high profile jobs, most of which include using his pretty face to lure in his prey. The omega is very resourceful and smart so he always gets the job done cleanly. His blue eyes are no longer innocent, they are harbingers of death and they fail to show any remorse.

Emotionally he’s still at the level of a kid as he didn’t have the proper environment to develop that side. He’s loyal to Gary and every person that helped him. If someone shows him kindness he gets attached pretty easily and becomes kind of clingy. He’s still dealing with abandonment issues and side effects of not being properly loved as a kid. 

Arius is pretty much a killing machine but he was never interested in killing someone that wasn’t his target. He is not finding pleasure in killing but he’s good at it. For him is just a job like any other and he never considers the consequences of those actions. He is honest to a fault, so much that most people will consider him rude. Sugarcoating things is not on his menu, he usually means what he says and he is pretty much unable to lie. Gary did teach him how stop telling everyone that he’s an assassin though so he’s pretty aware to cover it up and he does lie for the sake of the job. But other than that he’s pretty much an open book.

Because of this, his luck with relationships aren't necessarily great, even though he tries as hard as he can.

Fact: This is more of a trait of Dai's, but he has an alcohol addiction that stemmed from bad breakups in the past.

Strengths: None really. He's not a strong character.

Weaknesses: He doesn't like to be anything less than fully covered. He has mild mysophobia. He doesn't like anyone who moves too fast, speaks too fast or acts unpredictably.

Biography: Vesper's story really starts when he went into a local antique store. He often went to such places because he found them curious and was very particular about what he wore. One one such expedition through the antique stores he noticed something new, or at least new to the store. On one of the shelves was a thing. It looked like a little wooden house and had numbers around the circumference of a little circle on the lower level. He'd never seen anything like it before so he picked it up and began toying with it. After glancing to see that nobody was looking, he prized the little doors open and peeked inside, where he found a little bird with a red chest. It looked as though someone had taken the care to glue individual feathers across the bird's entire body. There were even little amber gems that gave off a faint sparkle from where it hid. This was a passion begun.

Since then, Vesper has had a fascination with wheels and cogs. He began collecting anything that worked with mechanisms rather than electricity and began studying how they worked. Eventually he even tried to make a few himself. The first ones were rather bland looking and the springs burst in one but he kept trying. For hours on end he'd sit at home drawing more and more complicated diagrams. Finally he understood the ways of the ancient devices.

During this time, he still managed to come out of his dwelling. People remarked that for a small while he spoke more than usual. He had more passion and excitement than usual, which wasn't much compared to them. He spoke of the thing, his ideas and a cave he'd found. He never said where it was or what was in it, only that he'd found something.

Vesper was thinking of cogs, wheels and eggs. He'd played around with the ideas for so much time that a pattern was starting to emerge, a creation. He'd scribble down different views of the pattern and even a few different makes until he was ready to make his idea have form. He'd practised, studied and taught himself the ways of the cog. He was now ready. He would create his first magnum opus, his first secret keeping egg. When it was built he sanded and polished it so smooth that he could see his reflection on it. The paint came next. He wasn't a great artist but he was persistent, detailed and had a perfect picture in his mind. This first egg was pearlescent green to blue with a gold top player. For the gold layer he needed magnifying glasses to complete, the work was so intricate and so time consuming. It was done in Celtic design with a bare area where he painted a golden snake, which curled around like a four-leaf clover. Into this first egg he whispered his full name. The wheels turned and the cogs hummed against one another. He closed the egg then listened to the sound of the lock clicking into place.

He placed the egg on his mantle piece and stood back. He was content again.

Since his first egg, Vesper has made many more. He now has a whole vault of them locked away inside the back of his home. He sells them and is paid to keep them locked away in his vault. There is only one way in and one way out and he has the only key to it hidden amongst the many pockets of his jacket. He has many pairs of other keys too but they are only for decoration. They do not yet have any lock for them to fit within.

Personality: Vesper is a quiet man: solitary and refined. Even his voice is as soft as the gentle hum of the eggs he so lovingly guards. He is the type of person who does not approach someone lightly, or even notice them lightly. There is always a reason for everything he does, and it has to be a good reason otherwise he simply will not do it. He's not a very active person. At times this makes him seem lazy or sluggish but in fact it's simply because it takes a great deal for him to change.

It takes a lot for Vesper to decide to act upon something, and usually it's done after a great deal of thought. He doesn't like surprises or spontaneity at all. It's most likely he'll think about his actions for a long time after they've happened too.

Extra: Vesper holds many secrets. He takes them away and locks them in his precious eggs, his magnum opera. Each one is lovingly hand crafted and locked away in a vault deep in demon territory. His duty is to guard over them and protect the keys and their locks with is very life. He spends much of his life locked away, wondering amongst his eggs and playing them. The sounds of the wheels and cogs ticking over in time with the words of secrecy is music to his ears.

When he is not guarding his eggs he can usually be found wondering about antique stores looking for old clockwork artifacts. He prefers alternative and demon run stores but he will sometimes hood up and hope to go unnoticed in human stores. He has a fascination with old things, especially keys and clocks. He can spend hours holding a piece and moving it around in his hands, studying its intricacies, faults and workings.

Vesper does not like the cold, which is why he keeps his hair long and clothes covering as much of his skin as possible. He is usually wearing more then two layers too, though most are tight fitting. He doesn't like the feel of baggy clothing because it moves around too much, making the air around him stir and chill his skin. He doesn't like the look of baggy clothes either. He considers them rather dumpy looking.

Biography

Lyric grew up in a violent household, quickly becoming a victim of domestic abuse. Because of this, he grew up very quiet, and very cautious--too afraid of getting hurt to ever dare trying to fight back. As he got older, he began to like school more and more. It was an escape from the chaos at home, and even if he wasn't extremely popular, he still had friends that gave him emotional support. When he was fourteen, he began working part-time at a library, giving him more excuses to stay away from his home, and he loved it there. It was quiet, and he always enjoyed seeing what books people were checking out.

Romance, action, fantasy, intellectual, and anything else. The library became his safe place, and he got to see all kinds of people walk through every day. People that fit the "nerdy" stereotype, trendy people, single parents, even muscular people covered in tattoos.

Around the time Lyric was to be graduating high school, his parents got into an even greater fight than usual. When he returned home that night, he was welcomed by the sight of police cars circled around his house, and his mother's corpse in the back of an ambulance. His father was arrested, and Lyric was put into a foster home for the last year until he turned eighteen.

The people who took him in were nice--much kinder than anything he was used to at home. But still he felt too old to be "adopted", and knowing he was only one year away from being a legal adult and probably kicked to the streets, he grew no attachment toward them. The couple, to him, was not family. But then again, did he ever really have one?

When he was of age, Lyric moved out and got an apartment not too far away from the beach. The community was a fairly good one, and getting another job at a coffee shop was enough to pay rent. With the additional money he had saved up when he was younger, it wasn't hard for him to make the down payment and get a place to stay. He usually used his bike to get around from place to place, since everything in town was fairly close, and it was healthier and better for the environment that way.

Even now, Lyric still suffers from PTSD from his traumatic experiences in his youth, but spending his free time reading or sketching helps him cope with unwanted thoughts and feelings.

Personality

Lyric is a kind-hearted person who is always willing to put others first to help them. He's very sweet, gentle, and softly-spoken. It's uncommon for him to ever raise his voice (and even if he does, chances are he's just trying to be heard over loud noises), and he never gets into fights. Most people like his nice behavior, and he doesn't have too many enemies because of this.

He is also very motherly in that he's often there with emotional support and gives advice to his two friends. He'll tend to their wounds if either of them ever get into a scuffle (since they're more aggressive towards other people but have a soft spot for him), and when at home he often does chores just to keep himself busy. Plus he likes his home to be neat and orderly (yet he rarely ever remembers to brush his own hair!).

A little over a year ago, Lyric adopted a black cat from one of his neighbors, who had a pet who got pregnant and needed to find somewhere that the kittens could go. Lyric was happy to help out and adopt one of the kittens as his own. His pet is mainly an indoor cat, but sometimes will get out and stay in the area for a day before returning to the apartment. Lyric named his cat "Gizmo".

Lyric is also a bit of a romantic. He likes sappy, fluffy romantic interactions though surprisingly never cared for the romance genre in books or movies. So even though he's a bit of a lovable dork in that sense, you'll almost never catch him reading or watching any of those things.

He enjoys reading in a quiet corner by himself and has a secret love for plushies. His one and only personal possession that he has been able to keep over the years has been a rabbit plush that a little girl from his second owner at the age of 12 gave him.

Talbot had always been a clumsy merman, swimming into things, and often getting into trouble among the other merfolk and fishes. But he always had a good heart and tried to not mess things up for the others (though he would often fail), and he always had the best intentions. When he was young, however, a ship had crashed into a coral reef and destroyed his home, killing his parents and most of his friends and family. At the time, it was a miracle that the ten-year-old merboy had managed to survive with minimal damage, and he was forced to live on his own after his parents' deaths. He often resented pirates and sailors, who had done this to his family and often liked to capture merfolk, but even still he tried not to be too hostile toward the human race. Even if he often acts mischievous or grumpy around them, he's mostly forgiven what had happened, though of course he is weary of them...
