Kaito smirked, "Good. Because if it wasn't, I'd have to reconsider my taste." Kaito nodded thoughtfully. "Practical. But you deserve something that feels good, not just lasts." At least it was 50-50. "Let's grab something to eat and then head back" he said biting his lip as he was about to say 'home' even though that place wasn't his home. He hasn't been to his appartment for over two days since Asher wasn't letting him without being guard. Ever since he gave him that book he has been studying it all the time, barely eating something or resting. From time to time he would hear him talk on the phone but the rest, he would try to understand that book. Maybe I should ask to help him with it. Suddenly, the lights flickered violently, plunging the stores and the whole place into a shaky dimness. A chilling wind swept through the halls despite the closed doors. Kaito froze as a low, guttural growl echoed from the shadows near the main entrance. Kaito’s eyes narrowed. "That’s not part of the sale." From the dark corner, a pair of glowing eyes stared back at them, and the unmistakable scent of magic and menace filled the air. Kaito’s voice dropped to a warning, "That's not ... like you." His skin tingled with electricity which meant this thing was magical. Kaito moved swiftly, stepping between Asher and the shadowed corner where the eyes glowed like embers in the dark. “Show yourself,” Kaito demanded, voice calm but edged with steel. The growl deepened, and a figure emerged slowly—tall, cloaked in tattered robes that seemed to ripple unnaturally, eyes burning with fierce, unnatural light. A sorcerer, no doubt, and one radiating hostile magic. The sorcerer smiled—a cruel, thin smile. “I’ve been watching you, Alpha. Your little shopping trip was... amusing. But now, it ends. Give me the book and no one gets hurt.” Kaito’s eyes flicked to Asher, silent communication passing between them. He grabbed Asher's arm. “We can’t let this get messy here—too many innocent people around.” Without hesitation, the sorcerer raised a hand, dark energy crackling like storm clouds. The air thickened, and the lights flickered again.

Just became aware that not only does this manga have a sequel, the CD for the sequel came out yesterday! Satou Takuya is one of my favorite seiyuu, if anyone can get this it'd be supremely appreciated
