Julius chuckled, a low sound that vibrated against Yukie’s skin as the other pulled him deeper into that warm, tangled nest of sheets and limbs. He closed his eyes for a heartbeat, trying to steady the rhythm of his breathing. The warmth that seeped through the thin layer of clothes made it impossible to think straight. His fingers twitched before he let them rest on Haruhi’s hips. Fingers almost digging into his soft squeezy parts The question lingered in the air, soft and teasing, but it echoed deep in Yumro’s chest. The wolf was still restless, but for now, it was content to let him lead. Inside, though, Yumro could feel that wild pulse of a heartbeat sturring awake. Not really there but curiously peeking out. It was his lycan. It only half-lidding one eye from deep within him cause it reacted to how both were wild and agitated in the moment. Yumro kept it all in to himself but he felt his wolf stiffen with fear in the very moment. His lycan was the most powerful of them all and if he chose to come forth. None of them could prevent any of his actions. He could kill Haruhi easily. If he didn’t think Haruhi was a worthy mate for them, the lycan would just kill him with no regards to how it would break the others. But the tension faded as the lycan close his eye again and disappeared from Yumro's consciousness again. It wasn’t interested. That said, Yumro was. The sorcerer’s gaze fixed on them, a smug sickening smirk curving his mouth. “Always the protector, huh” the man taunted, his voice warped and echoing faintly. “Tell me, Alpha, do you even know what that book is?” Asher didn’t answer. He wouldn’t give the man the satisfaction or any hint of what he knew. He shifted his stance, the floor creaking beneath him. The weight of the other’s magic was showy, unrestrained. His own power was more primal, older, tethered to instinct. His bones ached with the need to change, but he held the transformation at bay. Losing control here meant chaos, and with Kaito so close, he couldn’t risk it. A wave of power lashed out from the sorcerer, invisible but suffocating, like a wall of molten heat. Asher dug his boots into the tile and pushed back with a snarl. Shelves rattled, glass cracked, someone screamed. The magic crawled over his skin, searching for a weak point through the protection amulet he had hidden in his pocket. The feeling og the guys magic pouring over him felt so uncomfortable but atleast ot didn’t get to hurt anyone, Asher bit back another growl. The guy wanted the book. That much was obvious. Which meant he knew they had it. Knew enough to track them, even into something as mundane as a mall. At least now he was someone had cast a strong enough spell to trace Asher’s trail. “Should’ve stayed in the shadows,” Asher said, his voice low, edged with steel. “Would’ve lived longer.” He moved before the sorcerer could respond. Using all his leg muscles to run up close to the mage so fastthe eye could barely follow. Claws sliding free as the partial shift tore through his hands. The air cracked where he’d been standing as another burst of dark energy exploded against empty space. In an instant, he slammed into the man, sending them both crashing through a row of mannequins. The sorcerer hit the floor hard with Asher’s hand dug into his chest. The bastard wheezed in pain but still grinning. “Fucking wolfs!,” he hissed, blood slicking his lip. “but you are too late.” Asher froze for a heartbeat. Long enough for the air to twist again, thicker, darker. He could feel more of them coming. He swore under his breath, pushing off the man and scanning the edges of the dimly lit store. The lights flickered once more, then died completely, leaving only the faint, unnatural glow of residual magic, and the reflection of his own golden eyes in the dark. The sorcerer had passed out, not death, and though he wanted to finish him off now, there just wasn’t time. He needed to get Kaito out here. Even Asher couldn’t hold his own against more than one mage along. Asher easily found Kaito again even in the dark thanks to his night vision (glowing eyes). He took the man’s hand quickly and grabbed the shopping bags with his other. "This way" He told Kaito as he pulled him along through the [staff only] door. Asher roughly knew the layout of the mall and each store had their own fire escape route in case of emergency. Although nothing was in flames it was still an emergency.
